Afterwards, we continue to Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin, where we also visit the well-known Stalin Museum. Finally, we explore the remarkable cave city of Uplistsikhe. Carved directly into the rock, this ancient archaeological site is one of the most fascinating historical landmarks in Georgia and an important highlight of every Caucasus journey. From there, we drive by 4x4 vehicles up to the famous Gergeti Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2,170 meters. Our Armenia journey begins with breathtaking mountain landscapes, ancient monasteries, and one of the world’s oldest Christian cultures. First, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Haghpat Monastery, a magnificent 10th-century monastery and one of the most important highlights of any Armenia tour. Afterwards, we continue to the early Christian Odzun Church, dating back to the 6th century and considered a remarkable masterpiece of Armenian religious architecture. Later, we drive to Dilijan, often called the “Switzerland of Armenia.” Surrounded by forests and scenic mountains, Dilijan is famous for its fresh air, green landscapes, and charming old town atmosphere, making it one of the most popular destinations on Caucasus round trips. In clear weather, we also enjoy spectacular views of Mount Ararat, the national symbol of Armenia. Afterwards, we visit the moving Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Later, we continue to Vagharshapat, also known as Echmiadzin, the spiritual center of Armenia and one of the most important religious destinations in the Caucasus. Here we explore the UNESCO-listed Etchmiadzin Cathedral as well as the fascinating ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, we return to the hotel in Yerevan. First, we visit the famous Khor Virap Monastery, beautifully located at the foot of Mount Ararat. From here, we enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Armenia’s sacred mountain and one of the most iconic landscapes of the Caucasus. Afterwards, we continue to Areni, a region renowned for its thousands-year-old wine tradition and considered one of the oldest wine-producing areas in the world. Here, we enjoy a tasting of regional Armenian wines and local specialties. Later, we visit the stunning Noravank Monastery, dating back to the 13th century. Surrounded by dramatic red-rock cliffs, this masterpiece of Armenian architecture is regarded as one of the most beautiful monastery complexes in Armenia.

First, we visit the famous Matenadaran, home to one of the world’s most important collections of ancient Armenian manuscripts and historical documents. Afterwards, we continue to the ancient Garni Temple, a remarkable 1st-century pagan temple and the only preserved Greco-Roman colonnaded temple in the Caucasus. From here, we enjoy magnificent views over the scenic Azat Gorge. Next, we experience the impressive natural wonder known as the Symphony of Stones. This spectacular geological formation consists of giant basalt columns created by volcanic activity. Later, we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Geghard Monastery, one of Armenia’s most iconic monasteries. Parts of this fascinating medieval complex were carved directly into the surrounding rock cliffs. A special cultural experience of the day is the tasting of traditional Armenian Lavash, the famous soft flatbread that is deeply rooted in Armenian culinary traditions.
