Day 1: Flight to Ahmedabad

Day 2: In Ahmedabad (Arrival)

Upon arrival in Ahmedabad, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Travel Mart TM and transferred to your luxury hotel. Situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River, Ahmedabad is the cultural heart of Gujarat and a UNESCO World Heritage City, renowned for its fascinating blend of Indo-Islamic architecture, historic mosques, Jain temples, and traditional old city quarters known as “Pols”. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first impressions of Gujarat with a stroll through the colorful local markets and lively streets. In the evening, a short tour briefing introduces you to your exclusive wildlife & cultural journey through Gujarat, North-West India. Overnight at ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad. Day 3: Ahmedabad Heritage Tour – Old City & Cultural Highlights

After breakfast, discover the historic old city of Ahmedabad on a guided heritage walk. Explore elegant mansions, intricately carved wooden facades, ancient temples, and impressive mosques. Highlights include Teen Darwaza, the Bhadra Kali Temple, and the magnificent Jama Masjid. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel. Optionally, visit the vibrant Manek Chowk market and experience Gujarat’s famous vegetarian street food culture. Overnight at ITC Narmada, Ahmedabad. Meals: Breakfast (vegetarian)

Day 4: Ahmedabad - Velavadar (Blackbuck National Park)

This morning, we drive to Velavadar Blackbuck National Park (approx. 135 km / 2.5 h), one of Gujarat’s most spectacular wildlife reserves in North-West India. The park is famous for its large population of Blackbucks (Indian antelopes), as well as wolves, hyenas, jackals, and numerous birds of prey. In the afternoon, enjoy your first safari through the vast grasslands and discover Gujarat’s remarkable wildlife in its natural habitat. Overnight at Blackbuck Safari Lodge. Day 5: Velavadar Blackbuck National Park (Safari Experiences)

Today, experience morning and afternoon safaris in Velavadar Blackbuck National Park. The endless grasslands provide exceptional opportunities for wildlife observation and birdwatching in one of Gujarat’s most unique ecosystems. Overnight at Blackbuck Safari Lodge. Day 6: Velavadar National Park – Gir National Park

After breakfast, continue to the famous Gir National Park (approx. 330 km / 7 h), the last natural habitat of the rare Asiatic Lions and one of India’s most important wildlife sanctuaries. Gir National Park impresses with dry forests, rolling hills, river valleys, and open grasslands. Besides Asiatic lions, the park is home to leopards, gazelles, spotted deer, antelopes, and numerous bird species. The rare four-horned antelope can also be found here. Day 7: Gir National Park (Asiatic Lion Safaris)

Today marks one of the highlights of your exclusive Gujarat luxury safari tour: Gir National Park, the last refuge of the rare Asiatic Lion. During morning and afternoon jeep safaris, explore the fascinating wilderness of Gir and, with a bit of luck, encounter majestic lions, crocodiles, and numerous exotic bird species. Day 8: Gir National Park (More Safari Adventures & Relaxation)

Day 9: Gir National Park – Gondal (Royal Heritage & Culture)

After breakfast, drive to Gondal. En route, visit the royal mausoleums in Junagadh, admired for their intricate stone carvings and Indo-Islamic architecture. In the afternoon, discover the historic Naulakha Palace and the Maharajas’ private vintage car collection. The elegant 18th-century palace features carved balconies, royal collections, and impressive architecture. Day 10: Gondal – Little Rann of Kutch

Today we travel to the fascinating Little Rann of Kutch, one of Gujarat’s most extraordinary landscapes in North-West India. This immense salt desert transforms into one of the world’s largest saline wetlands during the monsoon season. The region is home to the famous Wild Ass Sanctuary, the last refuge of the endangered Asiatic Wild Ass (Khur). In the afternoon, visit a traditional tribal village and discover the ancient textile art of “Mata-ni-Pachedi”, beautifully hand-painted religious cloths still crafted by local artisans. Day 11: At Little Rann of Kutch (Wildlife & Salt Desert Experiences)

Today is dedicated to the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife of the Little Rann of Kutch. During a morning safari, search for Asiatic Wild Asses, antelopes, desert foxes, wolves, and numerous migratory birds. Later, visit the traditional salt pans of the Rann and meet the Agariyas – Gujarat’s salt farmers who have harvested salt in this harsh desert landscape for generations. In the afternoon, enjoy another safari through the vast salt flats. Overnight at Rann Riders Lodge. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (vegetarian)

Day 12: At the Little Rann of Kutch (Flamingos & Birdlife Experiences)

Early in the morning, explore the breathtaking salt flats and untouched wilderness of the Little Rann of Kutch while enjoying breakfast in nature. In the afternoon, visit picturesque Nawa Talao Lake, a paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife photographers. During winter, flamingos, cranes, pelicans, storks, and numerous migratory birds gather here, creating spectacular sunset photography opportunities. Overnight at Rann Riders Lodge. Day 13: Little Rann of Kutch – Ahmedabad (UNESCO Heritage, Patola Silk & Sun Temple)

Today, return to Ahmedabad while discovering Gujarat’s cultural treasures along the route. In Patan, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Rani Ki Vav, one of India’s most beautiful stepwells. Continue to a traditional Patola silk weaving workshop, where the famous double ikat silk sarees are still handcrafted. Later, visit the magnificent Sun Temple of Modhera, renowned for its intricate carvings and impressive stepped tank. Arrival in Ahmedabad in the evening. Overnight at ITC Narmada. Day 14: Ahmedabad (Departure)
